You are absolutely right on your complaints. Here in my continental South American country we got a president that has managed the feat of being the center of headlines for nearly five years now by constantly saying right-wing non-sense.

The funny part is that right-wingers hate "cancel culture" or the "cultura da lacração", which is the term they use here to describe the left-behavior of "trying to look good on social media by being extremely political correct". However, the term lacração or lacrar more aptly translates to "posting stuff that gets high engagement". See the irony? That's what the right is always trying to do.

They constantly say something even more off putting than the last to... get engagement.

And what does people do? They retweet in anger.
