Are you sure the functionality you mention is no longer available? Although TF2 is Keras-first, it is still able to export models in various formats. Also, you got TF Lite, TFJS and other APIs for deployment.

I do not now if any of these are equivalent to how you used to use TF1, but maybe one of them is
